Bridgnorth’s cliff railway is for sale

From the Shropshire Star:
Bridgnorth’s Cliff Railway has been put up for sale. Allan and Jean Reynolds are selling all the shares in the Bridgnorth Castle Hill Railway Company, which includes the historic Cliff Railway.

The couple, who bought the railway 15 years ago after taking early retirement, have decided the time is right to retire for a second time.

Included in the asking price of between £700,000 and £800,000 is also a guesthouse, a tearoom and a flat.
"It will not necessarily be sold to the highest bidder. It will be sold to the most suitable bidder," says Mrs Reynolds, so I may be in with a chance.

This cliff railway is but one of many interesting things to see in Bridgnorth.
